KBS recently released teaser photos for the upcoming 1930s period drama Inspiring Generation (Age of Feeling) which stars Kim Hyun Joong. Inspiring Generation is based on the Bang Hak Ki comic which appeared daily in the newspaper Sports Seoul. The drama is set in Shanghai, China and will have a unique feel due to overseas filming locations.

Kim Hyun Joong portrays Shin Jung Tae who assists Korean nationals in their independence fight against Japanese invaders. The tumultuous nature of the drama is illustrated by the hardened and scarred faces of Kim Hyun Joong and his co-stars. In the photo teaser, Kim Hyun Joong appears with a darkened face and serious gaze.  Female stars Lim Soo Hyang and Jin Se Yeon appear stunning in as a geisha and young starlet, retrospectively. Kim Hyun Joong has previously starred in the Hallyu sensation Boys Over Flowers opposite Lee Min Ho and in Playful Kiss. Inspiring Generation will replace Pretty Man which will conclude airing in January.

With The Heirs coming to a close, IU and Jang Geun Suk's Pretty Man will have the opportunity to expand in ratings. Although high anticipated, Pretty Man has struggled to excel with The Heirs triumphing after the popular melodrama Secret came to a conclusion. The drama has started to develop an emerging love triangle between IU's Bo Tong, Jang Geun Suk's Ma Tae, and Lee Jang Woo's David Choi which should also aid in the improvement of ratings.

The Heirs has led to increased popularity with f(x)'s Krystal and CNBLUE's Kang Min Hyuk. The end of The Heirs will only prove to be a beginning for the idols with Krystal set for an upcoming solo fan meeting and the announcement of CNBLUE's upcoming concerts in South America. Krystal will appear at Lotte Department Store on December 15^th as part of an endorsement event for jewelry label Stonehenge.  Krystal, who was already a model for the brand, has dazzled audiences with her endearing personality during The Heirs.

Girls Generation's Yoona also appeared on television screens with her drama Prime Minister and I. Audience reaction to Prime Minister and I has been positive after the airing of two episodes. With television screens filled with K-Pop stars, audiences have an opportunity to see many of their favorite celebrities take on different personalities or highlight other aspects of their nature. As 2013 reaches a conclusion, Korean drama fans can look forward towards the return of Kim Hyun Joong to in January.
