Captain America 2 Spoilers: Chris Evans To Leave The Franchise? ‘Crossbones’ To Play A Major Role In Steve Rogers’ Death

Captain America 2 spoilers that emerged recently suggest that the villain "Crossbones" will play a major part in the movie.

The Daily Super Hero previously confirmed that Captain America: The Winter Soldier will be doing some 2-day reshoots on December 16 and 17, though the details about the reshoots were not revealed. However, this could confirm rumors about the possible ending of the Captain America 2 movie.

With the footage released by the Conan O'Brien show featuring the 1970s "Captain America" film, fans soon speculate that this could hint clues about the upcoming movie. The clip featured Brock Rumlow a.k.a Crossbones.

In the comics, Crossbones was a major player in the death of Steve Rogers a.k.a Captain America, which paved way for the villain Bucky Barnes a.k.a The Winter Soldier to replace him and become the next Captain America.

In addition, a new set of toys revealed by "the Diamond Select Release of Marvel Minimates Series 55 Captain America," also suggest that Crossbones will be playing a major role in the film.

Here is the description from Diamond Select toys:

"The Winter Soldier Assortment. The Captain America: The Winter Soldier Minimates include four different 2-packs: Stealth Uniform Captain America vs. Crossbones, Final Battle Captain America vs. Winter Soldier, Black Widow vs. Agent Sitwell and Falcon vs. Batroc. Each Minimate stands 2 inches tall, with 14 points of articulation and a variety of interchangeable parts and accessories. The Captain America: The Winter Soldier Minimates will be available exclusively at comic shops and are designed and sculpted by Art Asylum."

Frank Grillo, who plays Brock Rumlow (Crossbones) also spoke with CraveOnline about his role in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

"It's an origin film. You meet people who are going to be around for a while, so they introduce the characters," he said. "It's almost like it's a series. It's fun. I can't say very much about it because Marvel's very strict about what you're allowed to say. The movie, we've seen bits of it, and it is spectacular."

When asked if Marvel studios plans to put his character, Brock Rumlow, in other future Marvel films, Grillo admitted that: "They do actually. We'll see what happens. We'll see if the fans respond to Brock and how it goes."

If Marvel would follow the comics, then indeed we could expect that Chris Evans would be leaving the Marvel franchise, as his character Steve Rogers, in the franchise is about to die. But whether his role will be killed off in this sequel or perhaps in Avengers: The Age Of Ultron is something we should be looking forward to.
