James Bond Will Die From Alcohol And Not Guns; An Offbeat Study Suggests

James Bond, the fictional British Secret Service agent created by Ian Fleming, will not die from gun shots, exploding cars, or after getting run over by a bus. He will die for drinking too much alcohol, a British study suggests.

The study was conducted by Graham Johnson of the emergency department of Royal Derby Hospital and aims to quantify James Bond's consumption of alcohol as detailed in the series of novels by Fleming.

The study was first published on the British Medical Journal's Christmas edition, an online portal that has been known for posting offbeat research works. It found out that:

"James Bond's weekly alcohol intake is over four times the advisable maximum alcohol consumption for an adult male. He is at considerable risk of developing alcoholic liver disease, cirrhosis, impotence, and other alcohol related health problems, together with being at serious risk of injury or death because of his drinking."

The study also thinks that:

"Although we appreciate the societal pressures to consume alcohol when working with international terrorists and high stakes gamblers, we would advise Bond be referred for further assessment of his alcohol intake and reduce his intake to safe levels."

Ironically, James Bond creator Ian Fleming died young because of his unstoppable addiction to smoking and excessive drinking.

The agent also known as Agent 007 is a fictional character and there's no way that we can see him die out of alcohol unless the writer comes back from the grave and allow it.

In the end, one thing was proven by the study: James Bond is a real great spy because he still delivers the job despite being 92 bottles away from soberness. He can still run at a great pace and kick opponents with in great speed despite being drunk.

He is not the man with the Golden finger, he has a golden liver.
