Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Reboot Will Be Awesome, Assures Elysium Star And Prison Break Alumni William Fichtner

"I can tell you this much: There's an April, there's a Shredder, there are four Turtles. What else do you need? Come on!" - These are the words that came out of the mouth of William Fichtner when asked by ET Online about the reboot of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles wherein he will play the role of the antagonist Eric Sachs/Shredder.

The 57-year old American actor, more known for his role as Alexander Mahone in Fox's Prison Break and John Carlyle in 2013 movie Elysium, react to rumors that his new movie is going to flop. He told ET Online that fans should "Take a breath and chill" because "they have not read the script."

"Listen, rumor had it that people were up in arms with a few things about Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles," said Fichtner.

"I can tell you this much: The experience for me was really cool. I have nieces and nephews that grew up in the '80s, and if you were a kid, then that's what the Turtles were. But what I didn't realize when I started working on the film is how big that fan base still is. It's really huge, and ... I get why Michael would want to produce a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. You've got an audience that was there, but also, I think, kids are ready to see something like this again."

Although he didn't grow up as TMNT fan, Fichtner assured that he studied all the right pieces and learned to fall in love with his role.

He also described the 2014 movie as something that fans would love because of a lot of great twists and turns for a guy. He even warned fans to brace for the best as "turtles are unlike anything you've ever seen. They're crazy, it's freaky, it's live-action, and it's going to look awesome."
