Leonardo DiCaprio Quitting Acting So He Can ‘Be A Complete Idiot’ With Friends? ‘Great Gatsby’ Actor ‘Drained’ From 3 Movies In 2 Years

Leonardo DiCaprio announced that he will be quitting acting for a while, after making three movies in two years. Leonardo DiCaprio admitted that he just wants to have fun with friends, and needs to take some time off.

The Metro reports that the 39-year-old "Great Gatsby" actor said in a statement: "I have done three films in two years. I am most certainly drained now. I will now take a long break before I come back."

In the last two years, Leonardo DiCaprio has filmed "Django Unchained," "The Great Gatsby," and "The Wolf of Wall Street." The busy actor thus seems justified in his wish to quit acting for a while, but his fans will surely miss him!

Leonardo DiCaprio explained what he hopes to do with his free time after quitting acting for a bit.

''I take what I do very seriously when I'm on the set that's all I focus on. So my vice is to hang out with my friends, talk about absolutely nothing of importance and act like a complete idiot," he told the Daily Mail, Entertainmentwise reports.

''It's like therapy to just be a complete idiot with my friends," he added. ''I love to have friends over, but I haven't really been home for a year and a half so I don't even remember the last time I did that."

"The Wolf of Wall Street" hits theaters Dec 25.
