Henry Cavill News 2013: ‘Man Of Steel’ Hunk Nominated For Critics’ Choice Awards, Superman Up Against Robert Downey, Jr., Mark Wahlberg For Best Actor

Henry Cavill news 2013: Star of the blockbuster hit “Man of Steel” and Hollywood heartthrob Henry Cavill has been nominated for a Critics Choice Awards for his performance as Superman/Clark Kent, according to the fan page Superman Supersite.

The British-born actor is competing in the category “Best Actor in an Action Movie” with Robert Downey, Jr. (“Iron Man 3”), Brad Pitt (“World War Z”), and Mark Wahlberg (“Lone Survivor”).
Henry Cavill’s co-star Amy Adams, who played Lois Lane in “Man of Steel,” is also nominated for the Critics’ Choice Awards for the category “Best Actress in a Comedy” for her role as Sydney Prosser in “American Hustle.”

Winners will be announced live at the 19th Annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards on January 16, 2014 at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, CA. There is a live telecast of the ceremony at CW Network starting at 8:00 PM ET/PT. Two hour pre-show coverage is also expected to air in various local markets prior to the show.

Henry Cavill has been one of the most talked about actors for the year 2013, thanks to a high-profile film that has grossed more than $600 million worldwide. He is currently filming “Man from U.N.C.L.E” where he will co-star with Armie Hammer.

Henry was also voted Glamour magazine’s sexiest man for 2013. Over 95,000 readers have voted and pole-vaulted Henry to the no. 1 spot, beating out the likes of “Twilight” star Robert Pattinson, actor and Miley Cyrus’s ex Liam Hemsworth and One Direction’s Harry Styles.
