‘Avengers Age of Ultron’ Cast Rumors: Baron Von Strucker Revealed As Secondary Villain In The Avengers Sequel; Who Will Play the HYDRA Leader?

Reports confirm the presence of a secondary villain in the "Avengers: Age of Ultron" film. Baron Von Strucker, the head of HYDRA (which was alluded in the first "Captain America" movie) which is like an evil version of SHIELD, will be in the movie.

The presence of Von Strucker has a definite purpose. The first report of the rumor was from Latino Review, and it was expounded by Hitfix:

"In "Age Of Ultron," Baron Von Strucker is the initial threat, the guy they're fighting at the start of the film. He does not have a major ongoing role in the film, but he is responsible for bringing Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch into contact with the Avengers in the first place, since they start the film working either with or or the Baron. If you look at this like a James Bond movie, Von Strucker's the bad guy they'll take care of in the pre-credits sequence before they move into the main story. Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch have a complicated journey in this film, and the question of whether they're good or bad is one of the big things driving the movie overall."

It was a mystery on how they would introduce the Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver. Their original origin of being Magneto's children is not feasible with the current set-up. This new possible origin will also keep the Avengers on edge. Can they trust the brother and sister tandem since they used to work for the enemy?

Latino Review gives some possible casting options.

"You see, there is a breakdown circulating in Hollywood where Marvel is looking for a PHYSICALLY IMPOSING MAN, age range 40-50, Caucasian, for a supporting role."

The names of Dougray Scott and Matt Csokas have been mentioned, but the extent of their involvement in the film was not specified. It could just be a wish list at this point. We could still speculate on which actors would be better for the role, given the specifics.

"Avengers: Age Of Ultron" is set for a May 1, 2015 release date.
