Denver Broncos Peyton Manning Is The Greatest Quarterback Of All Time; Pundits Claim As Football Star Sets New NFL TD Pass Record

The National Football League has a new king of touchdown passes as Peyton Manning recorded his 51st of the season, the most in league history. At the same time, he helped his team claim the AFC West title by beating Houston Texans, 37-13, in the same game.

The 37-year old quarterback (note: 37!), snatched his record breaking pass during the 4:28 mark in the final stages of the game by doing a 25-yard pass to Julius Thomas, just two and half minutes after he did his third, 20-yard pass to Eric Decker.

Coming into the game, the 15-year veteran already had 41 touchdown passes in his name. By accumulating 4 TD pass, he surpassed the 50 TD passes Tom Brady threw in 2007. His first touchdown pass happened during the second quarter when he threw a 36-yard pass to Demaryius Thomas. His second came early in the fourth through a 10-yard throw to Decker.

"I'm sure it's just a temporary record, but I will enjoy it," Manning said after the game.

Shortly after his record-breaking performance, writers and analysts instantly called Manning as the best or one of the bests.

Although "The Sheriff" has only one Super Bowl title in his name, author John Ed Bradley called him "the best quarterback in the world'', toppling New England Patriots' Tom Brady.

Andrew Corsello of GQ, which is an official partner of Bleacher Report, dubbed Manning as "Absolutely, Positively, Beyond a Shadow of a Doubt the Best Quarterback Ever to Play the Game" in his latest piece.

Corsello hit on those who made an argument about his claim by using Manning's lack of championship and rings saying it is wrong that "fans always take "greatest" to mean "most accomplished" and then argue about which metrics-Super Bowl rings, career yards, win-loss ratios-"mean" the most."

He ended his piece saying "Peyton MF Manning is the final stage in the evolution of the pocket passer. I doubt we will ever see anyone better."
