Jennifer Aniston Rethinking `Friends’ Reunion in 2014’; TV Show or Movie?

Jennifer Aniston is the last holdout to a "Friends" reunion in 2014. The actress whose hairstyle started a nationwide trend has been avoiding getting back together with her "Friends" castmates.

Jennifer Aniston is being "slowly convinced" to do a "Friends" reunion in 2014 to coincide with the 20th Anniversary of the debut of "Friends."

"Friends" was  a runaway hit in the 90s. Taking the slot vacated by "Mad About You" and coming after the classic comedy "Seinfeld," it told the story of a bunch of friends living in New York City and drinking coffee. Jennifer Aniston was the fans' favorite.

Since "Friends" ended in 2004, Aniston has had a successful movie career, most recently in the movie
"We're the Millers." But Jennifer Aniston hasn't ever really been able to put her character "Rachel" behind her. Proroducers have wanted to Aniston to reunite with castmates Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer, since they broke up and it looks like that will finally happen in 2014.

An insider told OK! magazine: "Since the show ended in 2004 it's been rare for all six of them to appear in public together. But with next year's 20th anniversary [of the show's launch] it will be unavoidable for them to do something together. It's the perfect excuse to talk seriously about a new project. It's no secret the whole project will be pinned on Jennifer, who's incredibly busy with her movie career. But she's been slowly convinced that a reunion could be a good thing."

Courteney Cox, who played Monica Geller on the 90s hit sitcom, best friend to Jennifer's Rachel Green,  has stayed close friends with Aniston and has been helping to pave the way for the reunion.

The source said "Courteney has been telling Jennifer that she and Matthew Perry have still got that amazing chemistry after shooting just a few scenes with him guest starring on her TV show "Cougar Town." It was as though no time has passed at all."

There is no word on whether the "Friends" cast will reunite for a TV special or a movie.
