Season 2 of the 'Bates Motel,' which chronicles the origins of Norman Bates and his perverted relationship with his mother in Alfred Hitchcock's"Psycho," will finally premiere on Monday, March 3.

In the concluding episode of Season 1, Norman (Freddie Highmore) had a falling out with his friend Emma (Olivia Cooke) after she realized that he was more focused on Bradley (Nicola Peltz) and her boyfriend the whole night. After Norman was punched by Bradley's boyfriend, he left in the rain and was picked up by Miss Watson (Keegan Connor Tracy).

The episode ended with Watson lying in her own puddle of blood.

The second season of the 'Bates Motel' will introduce viewers to a new character, Nick (Michael O'Neill), the father of Miss Watson who vowed to exact revenge on whoever is responsible for her death, said the International Business Times.

Aside from Nick, there's Christine, the first female friend of Norman's mother Norma (Vera Farmiga), and George who is billed to be a love interest for Norma. There's also Caleb who reportedly sexually assaulted her sister, Norma; Cody who befriends Norman, Jodi who is supposedly a "sexy businesswoman and artist;" and Zane who will figure a prominent role in Dylan's drug family.

In October last year, TV Guide reported that viewers of the series will get first-hand look on the "infamous fruit cellar," where the stuffed body of Norma was discovered in the "Psycho" movie.

Nestor Carbonell, who plays Sheriff Alex Romero in the Bates Motel, told Zap2it that the second season will answer some of the questions posed on season 1.

"One of the great things about this show is, even with cliffhangers, they're pretty much dealt with head-on, so the payoff is always going to be there. We definitely tackle [Miss Watson's death] pretty quickly in Season 2 and the ramifications of what happened with the teacher at the end of Season 1. Not that it's all wrapped up in a neat bow, but it's definitely being dealt with for sure," he said.
