The Good Wife Season 5 Spoilers: Cary And Robyn Romance, New Sneak Peek, And Matthew Goode Joins Cast!

As "The Good Wife" prepares to return this Sunday, more season 5 spoilers have surfaced regarding new characters, and a potential new romance.

Firstly, it seems Marilyn and Eli will continue to have conflict as Eli attempts to figure out whether Marilyn really is carrying "baby Peter."

"Eli's going to look at the dates and see if it makes sense," said executive producer Robert King to TVLine.

Spoilers confirm that Eli will hire Kalinda to investigate Marilyn to see whether Peter and Marilyn cheated on Alicia.

In addition, it seems "The Good Wife" season 5 will introduce a new love interest for the underused Cary. And it may be someone we already know!

According to spoilers by TVLine, the new love interest could very well be investigator Robyn! Is this pairing something you'd like to see?

Meanwhile, "The Good Wife" season 5 will also introduce a major recurring character played by English actor Matthew Goode.

Spoilers confirm that Goode will play a prosecutor who befriends Alicia after "having a crisis of faith and deciding to chart a new direction or his career."

Goode recently finished filming "Death Comes to Pemberly" featuring Matthew Rhys ("The Americans") and Jenna Coleman ("Doctor Who").

This Sunday, "The Good Wife" season 5 will return with "Goliath and David," where Alicia and Cary will represent a band suing a TV show for copyright infringement.

We have our first sneak peek of the episode below, which features more psychological warfare between Alicia and Will.
