Upcoming Nokia Phones 2014: Image Of Alleged Lumia 929 Leaked In An Incipio Case, Nokia Icon Rumored To Be Announced On January 16

Even before 2013 ended, there have been lots of rumors about upcoming Nokia phones in 2014. Now that new year has finally come, we expect more reports and developments regarding these new devices.

Now, a report from GSM Arena says the Nokia Lumia 929, also known as the Icon, has been spotted wearing the Incipio case. In addition, it also appears that the phone has the case-maker's logo as its splash screen.

Rumored to be developed for US carrier Verizon, the Nokia Icon has been in the works for the past few months and should have been announced in December just in time for the holidays.

Unfortunately, several production delays have pushed back the date to January 16 which incidentally coincides with the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

Another report claims that Nokia would not use the Lumia 929 as its model name, but Icon. If this rumor pans out to be true, then the Nokia Icon could be the first (and last) handset from the Finnish manufacturer that does not have the usual lineup and model number branding (e.g. Lumia 1520, Asha 501, etc.)
