"How I Met Your Mother" season 9 has a new promo trailer, revealing spoilers about the final slap in the slap bet between Marshall and Barney. Check out the "How I Met Your Mother" season 9, episode 14 promo trailer here!

"Turn Happy New Year into Slappy New Year!" a voiceover on the promo trailer clip says, Enstarz reports.

The scene shows Ted (Josh Radnor) celebrating New Year's at McLarens, but it quickly turns into Marshall's (Jason Segel) hand held above a scared Barney's (Neil Patrick Harris) face.

According to Enstarz, the trailer shows a montage of slaps as Barney cries and Marshall explains how to get over his fear of the slaps.

"Don't think of it as a slap," he said. "Think of It as a high-five...to your stupid face," Marshall said in the trailer.

The real spoiler about the final slap in the slap bet comes at the end of the "How I Met Your Mother" trailer clip, when Marshall and Barney are standing face-to-face.

"I love you," Robin (Cobie Smulders) said to Barney.

"Enough to take this slap for me?" he asked.

"No," she replied and moved away.

Though this episode looks like a silly one, the next episode, episode 15 titled "Unpause," will quickly take a serious turn: Marshall and Lily (Alyson Hanigan) will tackle the issue of whether Marshall should take the judgeship or they will follow their previous plans to move to Italy.

"How I Met Your Mother" season 9 returns to CBS on Monday, Jan. 13 at 8 p.m.

Also, as we previously reported, the 200th episode of "How I Met Your Mother" season 9 will air in late January, titled "How Your Mother Met Me." According to spoilers, the episode will focus heavily on the Mother, and what she's been up to all these years while we've been following the life of Ted Mosby and his friends.
