Keanu Reeves' `47 Ronin' Losing Money; Will Not Be Keanu's Comeback Movie; Neither Will a Point Break Reboot

Keanu Reeves newest film 47 Ronin is losing money. Comcast Corp's Universal Pictures movie studio says Keanu Reeves film "47 Ronin" took $175 million in write-downs.

Hollywood experts said that Keanu Reeves' "47 Ronin" earned between $17 million and $20 million for the five-day Christmas Day holiday period, a very poor take for a big budget film. An official at the studio said "Universal Pictures regularly evaluates its film slate for potential adjustment. In the case of '47 Ronin,' we adjusted film costs in previous quarters and as a result, our financial performance will not be negatively impacted this quarter by its theatrical performance."

Keanu Reeves was supposed to be having a comeback this year but it looks like "47 Ronin" will not be that movie.

Universal Pictures India reported that Keanu Reeves felt like an outcast while making the movie. Just like his loner-outcast character, Kai. Reeves didnt' speak Japanese and even though he got along with everyone on the set, he couldn't hang out with them after shooting.

It just night be one of the biggest flops of the year.The Hollywood Reporter reported that 47 Ronin didn't just fail in the American market, it also did poorly in Japan the month prior. Reeves' film should have benefitted from the Holidat Weekend, but Santa skipped that house.

Keanu Reeves film "47 Ronin" opened on Christmas Day. The movie was originally expected in 2012 but the studio demanded more re-shoots and more screen time for Reeves. 

47 Ronin is based on a story that dates back to the 18th century. It is about a half-Japanese slave that joins a band of Samurai. The story and has been brought to screen by famed Japanese directors such as Kenji Mizoguchi and Kon Ichikawa.

Reports surfaced that Bill & Ted 3 has been written and only needs funding. Reeves recently confirmed the status of the Bill & Ted 3. He said the new movie will show  Bill and Ted in their 50s.

Keanu Reeves new movie will not be a "Point Break" remake. The hit movie starring Reeves and the late Patrick Swayze flew high at the box office years ago, but a remake will not get off the ground with Keanu.

Keanu Reeves says he definitely won't be back for that "Point Break" remake. No matter how exciting it might seem on the surface.

Keanu Reeves is riding high on his new blockbuster, "47 Ronin," which takes the Japanese legend into fantastic new heights. But Reeves won't glide into just any high-paying gig.

Warner Bros. and Alcom Entertainment want to remake the surfboard and skydiving crime drama "Point Break." The original was directed by Kathryn Bigelow.

Speaking to the BBC, the former star of Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure slammed the door on any speculation he might surf out of another plane. Reeves said "Absolutely not. It's not my place." Keanu tried to give a little encouragement to the producers, just as long as they leave him out of it. Reeves said "sounds very exciting - but is it a good thing? I don't know. If they can find a way to do it that works out good. Then God bless them."

Rumors are saying that the new reboot of "Point Break" will be directed by Ericson Core, who helmed "Invincible." The screenplay was written by Kurt Wimmer, who the remake of "Total Recall."

So what about Keanu reteaming with Alex Winter for another Bill and Ted sequel? Keanu said "It's still in the dream. There's a script and we're trying to make it. So we'll see."
"47 Ronin" will be released in India on 3rd January in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
