‘Batman Vs Superman’ Cast Rumors -Bryan Cranston As Lex Luthor ‘100% Confirmed’ According To AMC Video; [UPDATE] Report Has Been Debunked And Video Restricted Access!

'Batman Vs Superman' Cast Rumors continue to fly all over the internet. The Bryan Cranston as Lex Luthor rumor has already been shot down, but that was months ago, before the 'Breaking Bad' finale.

Now, a new video has surfaced from Team Amasian. TA is composed of Kaori Takee and Ann Campea and they have their Youtube channel where they talk about movie and TV castings.  They are associated with John Campea's AMC Movie Talk . Ann is John's wife.

In their Youtube video, they have mentioned that "Bryan Cranston has been 100% confirmed to play Lex Luthor in 'Batman Vs Superman.'"

The video became viral, and once other sites have clarified, no such confirmation has taken place. No statements from Bryan Cranston's camp or Warner Bros. has been released to give credence to the claim. Eventually, AMC Movie Talk's John Campea issued a clarification statement about the errant report on his Facebook Page. Excerpts from the statement here:

"So yesterday (while I was in Las Vegas) the amazing team at TEAM AMASIAN (one member just happens to me my wife) had also heard from a source that Cranston was going to be Luthor and proceeded to make a video pronouncing that it was "CONFIRMED" that Cranston was going to play Luthor... but they are new to this and mistakenly said that the rumor was "CONFIRMED". Let me be very very very very very very very clear here... it is NOT confirmed. At this point it is a rumor being propelled on by certain sources that are NOT proven and thus I would not qualify them as "reliable" yet. This isn't to say that it isn't true... but that it should not be taken as "fact" yet (if ever at all). It isn't CONFIRMED until Zack Snyder or WB officially announce it.

TEAM AMASIAN wasn't trying to be deceptive at all. They just jumped the gun and started using the wrong terminology... like "confirmed". It's not confirmed. They are not professional movie bloggers and simply made a rookie mistake. As a result, for now we've set the video they recorded as 'private.'"

John Campea started the whole thing with his tweets, which he eventually deleted. According to his statement, his sources and his wife's sources are different which prompted them to believe it's veracity.

Are they wrong, or did they just jump the gun?

In the meantime, sites that have reported this news have issued updates. The first sites to do so were Comic Book Movie and Batman News. Both sites did issue disclaimers on their reports. From Batman News: "Campea didn't want websites taking his tweets as news because he didn't have confirmation, and Batman News respected his wish. But now things get a little more interesting... John's wife, Ann Campea, hosts a podcast with Kaori Takee called "Amasian News". On the latest episode (embedded above) they claim that Bryan Cranston is indeed going to be Lex Luthor in Batman vs. Superman."

We'll just have to wait and see. Perhaps Walter White could not resist the allure of ruling "Methropolis."
