Ke$ha Checks Into Rehab for Eating Disorder; But Not Alone, She Takes Her Mommy

Ke$ha might be known as one of the bad girls of pop, but when she checked into rehab for an eating disorder, the "Die Young" singer brought her mom. Just one week after Ke$ha checked into rehab, her mother Pebe Sebert checked herself into the same center.

KeSha's 57-year-old mom told People magazine "I'm checking myself into Timberline Knolls today for post-traumatic stress disorder, at Kesha's urging."

Ke$ha's mom, Pebe Sebert, a Tennessee-born songwriter who frequently collaborates with her daughter. Maybe the two will write together while in treatment.

Kesha entered rehab to treat an eating disorder, not alcohol abuse says her mother, Pebe Sebert. Recent rumors say that Ke$ha is getting help for alcoholism.

Pebe Sebert told Celebuzz that Kesha is being treated for bulimia. She says Ke$ha is not also being treated for alcoholism. Sebert said "That's a total lie. The place she's at is an eating disorder center. When [reports] say 'people close to her' I will tell you I travel with her everywhere, her little brother, her assistant, makeup artist, talk to anyone."

People writer Raha Lewis told ABC News "Kesha's mother told us that it was Dr. Luke, Kesha's producer, who had put pressure on her [Kesha] in regards to her weight, specifically she mentions that he had called her a refrigerator in the past, and this has put a lot of pressure on her. However, Dr. Luke's camp informed us that these allegations are completely false, and that he wishes Kesha the best on her healing journey."

Kesha is due to complete a 30-day stint at the treatment centre in Chicago although her mother hinted that she may stay longer. Ke$ha's mother is a recovering alcohol and drug addict. Sebert says Ke$ha has been attending AA meetings with her since she was "just over a year old."

Sebert says Ke$ha''s bulimia started when she was 18. "I remember over a period of a few months she got really skinny and she said she was running Runyon Canyon [in L.A.] and just eating well. The truth is she was throwing up."

Ke$ha, the 26-year-old singer best known for her outrageous music videos, checked into Timberline Knolls a residential treatment center near Chicago, which was the same rehab center Demi Lovato went to for her addiction and eating disorder issues. The treatment center is about 40 minutes away from Chicago, IL. Ke$ha will remain there for at least 30 days.

Pebe Sebert told Celebuzz "She might be crazy and she might get s***-faced drunk but everyone does. She might have a few drinks here and there. But she doesn't have a drinking problem."

Kesha's mom said "She was dieting and she became bulimic. I remember over a period of a few months she got really skinny and she said she was running Runyon Canyon and just eating well. The truth is she was throwing up. I didn't know until much later because she said she would quit."

If Ke$ha is getting heavy, it isn't showing in her latest music videos. The singer doesn't cover much up and still looks trim.

Ke$ha told People magazine "I'll be unavailable for the next 30 days, seeking treatment for my eating disorder...to learn to love myself again. Exactly as I am. I'm a crusader for being yourself and loving yourself but I've found it hard to practice."

According to media reports, Kesha, who is a vegetarian, is blaming her producer, the songwriter Dr. Luke, for her condition. Ke$ha claims that he made fun of her weight. Dr. Luke signed Kesha when she was 18 years old.

Sources told TMZ.com that Dr. Luke told Ke$ha that she looked like a "f***ing refrigerator."

The insiders say that Dr. Luke commented on the "Timber" singer's weight after she put on a few pounds after her "Get Sleazy" tour ended. The sources say that Dr. Luke called Ke$ha fat and went to her management to get her to do something about it.

Ke$ha recently made her directorial debut for the music video for the "Dirty Love" track, from her 2012  Warrior  album "Dirty Love."  Ke$ha peels in the video and dances in a strip club setting in her underwear.

KeSha looks thin in the video for "Timber," KeSha's collaboration with Pitbull. Dancing in nothing but her underwear and bra, Ke$ha's body doesn't show the added pounds.

Ke$ha's real name is Kesha Rose Sebert.
