Android 4.3 Jelly Bean Release Date Set For Galaxy S4 Active For AT&T, Adds Knox Security, Galaxy Gear Support, Better RAM Management

It is always good for manufacturers to update their former flagships' firmware, and Samsung has done well with the Galaxy S4 lineup.

In a report by GSM Arena, the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean release date has been set for Samsung's Galaxy S4 Active for AT&T. Owners of the water resistant device can now update their handsets through OTA.

According to the report, the update finally brings improved Knox security, Galaxy Gear support and TRIM support to the Galaxy S4. The Android-powered smartphone will also be able to run faster and smoother as a result of the update's improved RAM management.

The update will also feature Daydream, a number of security and bug fixes, as well as performance tweaks.

Meanwhile, there are still no updates when the 4.3 update will arrive to the international version of the Galaxy S4 Active. It could also skip the update and head straight to Android 4.4 KitKat.

We'll keep you posted for more details.
