Devan Dubnyk, who matches the 6-foot-5 Rinne in size, will take over No. 1 duties after being acquired Wednesday from Edmonton in exchange for center Matt Hendricks, according to ESPN.com.

"Dubnyk gives us a chance to be a little bit better, going with the guy that's clearly had a lot more experience, clearly been a number one, has won a lot of big games in his career," Nashville general manager David Poile told reporters. "It's a chance if you will, it's an opportunity if you will, to try to improve our hockey club at this time."

Matt Read's returned to the lineup after missing six games with a concussion while the line consisting of him and Couturier earned assists on Vinnie Lecavalier's game-winning goal in the final seconds of regulation.

"They really haven't played much together," coach Craig Berube said Wednesday. "[Read] was hurt and Vinny was hurt. They're going to have an opportunity to work together now and see what can happen. You've got a little of everything on that line. Vinny is a shooter and a scorer, Read has the speed and Couturier is a good two-way hockey player. That can be a good combination."

Injury report, according to NHL.com:

"Rinne (hip) is out for Nashville. ... Flyers forward Zac Rinaldo (ankle) is out. Forward Scott Hartnell is questionable after blocking a shot with his ankle Tuesday."
