Arcade Fire Reflektor Tour 2014: Grammy Award Winning Band To Kick Off Tour On March, Talks About How Their Album Became A Success

Arcade Fire Reflektor Tour 2014: With the band's latest release, the album "Reflektor" hit the Billboard Hot 200 albums on top with sales up to 140,000 just on its first week. The album was released October 29 of 2013.

The tour will kick of on March 6 in Louisville, Kentucky and will travel across North America where they will end the tour in Montreal on the last day of August.

The Canadian band's fourth release was said to be influenced by Haitian rara music. Band members Win Butler and Regine Chassagne had the inspiration of this new album when they went on a trip to their families' home country in Haiti.

"Going to Haiti for the first time with Regine was the beginning of a major change in the way that I thought about the world. Usually, I think you have most of your musical influences locked down by the time you're 16. There was a band I [feel] changed me musically, just really opened me up to this huge, vast amount of culture and influence I hadn't been exposed to before, which was really life-changing," the band vocalist said.

"I was learning from what I saw and applying it to my own life, lyrically," Butler told Rolling Stone saying how the music changed and evolved in the new album. "I'm not trying to tell other people's stories. We're just trying to allow an experience to change you."

The indie band's latest double record release includes 14 tracks split in half telling Rolling Stones, "The record is really long. We intended to make a short record and we ended up with 18 songs that were all between six and eight minutes and we were like, "Uh oh, I think we screwed up making a short record." Splitting it over the two halves enables you to get into the different worlds of the records."

The band's third release, "The Suburbs", also went on top of the charts on its first week giving them the honor of the album of The year in the Grammy's the year following its release. The said album garnered 156,000 sales on its first week.

They did it before and surely they can do a repeat of album of the year with how people responded positively on their recent release.
