Rangers vs Red Wings live stream: Watch online free 7:10 ET Thursday as two original six teams battle it out on the ice for the second time this season.

The 20-16-10 Detroit Red Wings will close out a five-year road trip in New York City vs the Rangers (24-21-3) while NY ends its four-game homestand. Watch the free live stream online as Detroit tries to avenge the 3-2 overtime loss it suffered at home in October.

On this road trip, the Red Wings have gone 2-2 thus far, including a 1-0 loss to the best team in the NHL - Anaheim Ducks on Sunday. There were five powerplays against Anaheim and Detroit couldn't convert on any of them or the other 16 over the four games prior.

"We've really competed hard in three of the first four games on the trip," coach Mike Babcock told ESPN.com. "The reality is we've got to find a way to score. Our power play has got to be more dangerous."

Henrik Lundqvist will be back in net for New York. His better play continued on Tuesday in a 2-1 loss against the Lightning. His only mistakes were allowing two goals within nine seconds of each other. Over the last four games, Lundqvist has a 1.76 goals-against average and .944 save percentage while winning three of those starts.

"Right now we're looking to get points in every game. We need it," Lundqvist, who had 26 saves in a 2-1 overtime win in the most recent home meeting with Detroit on March 21, 2012, told ESPN.com.

Ryan Callahan was called on a questionable penalty that led to the first goal allowed to Tampa Bay.  Either way, the captain of the Rangers said that it could have been a different game.

"We had a lot of chances to get the equalizer throughout the game. We just don't find it," Callahan said. "No matter how good a goalie plays, you have to look at yourself and find a way you could have done something better."
