Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Release Date Rumors: Specs Of Upcoming Device Expected To Have QHD AMOLED Display, New S-Pen Features; Fall Launch Date Possible

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 release date and rumors: The phablet rumored to be the successor of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is expected to have a display that at the very least is QHD AMOLED, writes Gotta Be Mobile. Like many updated phablets, rumors suggest that the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will have a fall release date.

Similar to how the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 was launched last September at the IFA Consumer Electronics Show in Berlin with the current wearable flagship, the Samsung Galaxy Gear, rumors suggest that the Note 4 will be accompanied by yet another wearable device. Some have suggested that this could be the Samsung Galaxy Gear 2, though some reports say that the second iteration of the smartwatch may arrive sooner.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will most likely showcase new upgrades on the S-Pen. There has already been news on upcoming better gestures and S-Pen features that will arrive with the Galaxy Note 4. Samsung may offer better S-Pen functionality with a more sensitive touch component capable of sensing pen point touches, which would enable more realistic drawing and handwriting, according to Gotta Be Mobile.

In terms of price, the mobile industry-focused blog said that it’s expecting the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 to have a price steeper than the $199.99 it has. Samsung’s executive vice president of mobile, Lee Young Hee, was earlier quoted as saying that the next Galaxy Note will be “targeting consumers who want more professional use and tend to be willing to pay more for handsets.”

No matter what the price of the rumored Note 4 would be, it’s anticipated that all major U.S. carriers will be carrying the product. Gotta Be Mobile notes that Samsung cannot afford an absence on the major carriers now that the iPhone has been made available on T-Mobile and U.S. Cellular.
