Sims 4 release date is set for fall 2014.

EA has previously announced that Sims 4 release date will be set for at some point during autumn 2014. Months ahead of the Sims 4 release date, more updates and details about the game have emerged online.  

For instance, Prima Games has recently confirmed that there will be a Prima Game Guide that will be created for The Sims 4. The confirmation was made via an email response to a SimsVIP reader named Justina. Aside from confirming the availability of The Sims 4 game guide, it was also revealed that there will be both an eGuide and a printed version for the upcoming EA simulation game.

On the first day of 2014, Amazon UK listed Collector's and a Standard Edition paperback guide for The Sims 4 and during that time, Prima online confirmed that there will be an eGuide.

Given that Amazon loves to list products prematurely (The Sims 3 Seasons Guide that never was), and Prima hasn't had the best record with The Sims 3 of late (no guides, eGuides only, etc), time will only tell what Prima has in store for the next series of The Sims.

As for other information about The Sims 4, the Life Stages in the upcoming game will be similar as the former editions. In The Sims 4, the life stages will be Baby, Toddler, Child, Teen, Young Adult, Adult, and Elder. No new life stages are coming in The Sims 4, according to an interview with SimGuruGrant by Simified.com.
