Orphan Black Season 2 Spoiler: New Season To Explore The Life Of Jordan Gavaris’s Felix Dawkins Character

Tatiana Maslany has been getting all the recognitions for her portrayal of at least seven characters in BBC America's Orphan Black. However, when people were asked who the show's best scene stealer is, the anonymous answer is Jordan Gavaris who plays the homosexual Felix Dawkins.

Dawkins is the gay foster brother and confidant of lead character Sarah (played by Maslany) and is known in the show as a painter and male prostitute. So far, Gavaris proved to be a great asset in the show, providing comic relief. For the show's second season, scheduled to start on April 19, people will get to know more about the funny and charismatic Felix.

At the BBC America Winter TCA Press Tour, Orphan Black co-creator George Manson revealed that Felix's back story will be explored.

"I think what season 2 helps to do is establish him as an individual with his own identity and as a multifaceted human and not just a plot device or not just someone who's there to facilitate whatever

Sarah's crazy idea is that day," he said.

"His relationship with Sarah is tested in our new season as well, as well as he creates new friendships and allegiances with some of the other clones."

Gavaris also shared his thoughts about his character, which he says is people's relief from all the tension surrounding Maslany's characters.

"It's neat to see the clones' relationships in a portrait with this other person, outside of their familial contention or outside of their familial drama. It's really neat to see the way who these women are opposite Felix, and who Felix is opposite these women. Because it is really different," he enthuses."Next to getting to play actually different people, it's the next best thing, getting to play opposite the person who is playing different people. It's pretty unreal."
