Justin Bieber Faces Jail Time Over LA Vandalism; Canadian Pop Star To Be Thrown Out Of The US?

t's not an egg-citing time for Justin Bieber as he faces jail time for vandalism of neighbor's house in Calabasas, California If convicted of the felony charge, the Canadian pop star could even be thrown out of the US and back to his home country.

According to FOX News, quoting lawyer Anahita Sedaghatfar, California is very strict about vandalism.

"If the damage is $400 or more, the person can be charged with a felony and the person can face anywhere between one to three years in jail, in addition to having to pay fines and penalties," the lawyer said.

However, that's not the only thing on Bieber's plate as he could even face deportation if he can be convicted of felony "that involves a state of mind of intentional or knowing," lawyer Mitchell Ignatoff told FOX.

But it all depends on the prosecutors handling the case since they can always recommend to reduce the charge to simple misdemeanor, which might still involve jail time or most probably probation. In that scenario, at least Bieber can escape deportation.

Ignatoff, however, doubts that Bieber will actually be deported.

According to TMZ, a felony charge could mean three years jail time for Bieber instead of just one year for simple vandalism.

At least Bieber can count his blessings as the police have not included him in the rap sheet for drug possession when molly, a form of MDMA, and Xanax was found in the possession of his BFF, Lil Za during the search of his home.

Lil Za was charged with felony drug possession on Tuesday and he's facing another charge for destroying a phone inside a jail house. He's currently on bail for $70,000.

Lieutenant Dave Thompson said that Bieber is neither cleared nor suspected of owning the drugs found on Lil Za as of the moment. That can change however depending on the evidence they find at Beiber's house.
