Orange Is The New Black Season 2 Nearing Completion As Cast Member Michelle Hurst Awakens From Coma

As Netflix hit series "Orange is the New Black" nears filming completion for season 2, more good news have arrived about cast member Michelle Hurst and her tragic car accident.

Recently, "Orange is the New Black" actress Michelle Hurst (Miss Claudette) was kept in a drug-induced coma for 16 days after suffering a car accident.

"She had major injuries so the doctors put her in a medically induced coma to avoid movement while they did multiple surgeries near her spine," said fundraising website youcaring.com.

Fortunately, after a lot of love and support from her fellow "Orange is the New Black" cast members, Hurst has come out of her coma.

"She is out of the coma (after 16 days) and has opened her eyes!"

It is unknown how much Michelle Hurst has missed as far as filming for "Orange is the New Black" season 2, although recent reports suggest that filming is near completion anyway.

Actor Matt McGorry, who plays John Bennett on the series, recently updated fans on Instagram with a progress report on "Orange is the New Black" season 2.

“Suiting up as John Bennett for my last scene of #oitnb season 2. #ImAWeirdo FYI again- this is NOT a spoiler and indicates nothing about plot or when the show will be released (which noone knows the answer to).”

According to WebProNews, filming is slated to continue at least until February 6, but should be close to wrapping soon.
