January 18 may seem insignificant, unless you're Minzy of 2NE1 or American actor Jason Segel.

Turns out, they share the same birthday, and the pair are celebrating in very different ways.

Jason Segel turns 34 on January 18, but the "How I Met Your Mother" star is currently enjoying a little bit of controversy over his vocation.

The most recent episode of "How I Met Your Mother" featured an ongoing joke, "Slapsgiving." Marshall's (Jason Segel) three friends portrayed by Colbie Smulders, Josh Radnor, and Alyson Hannigan in turn made light of Asian stereotypes by portraying "Asian experts that Marshall found in Shanghai."

Since the controversy arose, the hashtag #HowIMetYourRacism gained traction on Twitter, and co-creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas took to Twitter to apologize for offending their viewers.
