Im Siwan Is ‘Willing To Do A Bed Scene’ [Interview]

It's only been 2 years since Im Siwan starting acting. But his attitude is much more advanced than expected, and he was able to give a straight answer to any question that was asked during this interview.

Im Siwan debuted with the idol group ZE:A. This ZE:A member made his transformation into an acting idol through 2012 MBC drama "The Moon Embracing the Sun." His unique presence also landed him roles in "Man from the Equator," "Standby," "Waiting for Love," and "Miseng Prequel."

In a recent interview, Im Siwan stated, "Nowadays my schedule is pretty easygoing. The busiest period has passed, and I've even gained some weight since The Lawyer." He played a very important character that goes from ordinary college student to a human rights activist overnight. It's a tough role for an idol to take on, but his acting was well-received and earned him praise.

He said, "The first transformed acting idol is not me but MBLAQ's Lee Joon. He starred in Rough Play and completely changed opinion of acting idols. He really played the part well. Before the movie release he complained that he hadn't done so well, when in actuality he did really great" and offered high praise to Lee Joon.

Im Siwan was asked, "Would you be able to play a difficult bed scene like Lee Joon, given that the scenario is acceptable?" Im Siwan replied, "Even though it would be on a whole different love, I would definitely consider it. The important questions is whether or not I'll be able to pull it off."

Even after receiving high praise for The Lawyer, Im Siwan didn't get too excited, nor did he lose his focus. He tried to reroute all praise to his senior actors.

He said, "I'm glad that the first movie was a success, but now the next project is worrisome. The Lawyer acting scenes were beyond just my skills. I was able to use the good energy from my senior actors. If I were to do it again I think it would be very difficult. I went above and beyond my skills and built a high wall for myself. I have to get over the wall, but I'm wondering if I'll be able to do that."

Im Siwan is currently active as both a singer and actor. He said, "A celebrity's life line hangs on the public's love. I don't want to give up either, but I think it's an issue that's out of my control. If they don't want me, then there's nothing I can do. But if a lot of people look forward to seeing me in either role, then I want to do both."
