Bachelor Juan Pablo Galavis Delivers Homophobic Rant [LISTEN], Describes Gay People As 'More Pervert In A Sense'

As "The Bachelor" returns to ABC on season 18 featuring Juan Pablo Galavis, the former soccer player has delivered a speech against a version of the show featuring a gay Bachelor.

“I don’t think it is a good example for kids to watch that on TV,” said Juan Pablo Galavis to The TV Page. “Obviously people have their husband and wife and kids and that is how we are brought up. Now there [are] fathers having kids and all that, and it is hard for me to understand that too in the sense of a household having… two parents sleeping in the same bed and the kid going into bed… It is confusing in a sense."

So far, "The Bachelor" has yet to have an iteration featuring a gay or bisexual Bachelor, and as the current Bachelor, Juan Pablo Galavis appears no closer to leading the charge on diversifying the ABC hit series.

"But I respect them because they want to have kids," Galavis went on to say. "They want to be parents. So it is a scale… Where do you put it on the scale? Where is the thin line to cross or not? You have to respect everybody’s desires and way of living. But it would be too hard for TV.”

In addition, Galavis attributed to the idea that gay people are "more pervert in a sense" as a reason not to broadcast a gay version of "The Bachelor."
