‘The Bachelor’ 2014 Juan Pablo Galavis Believes There Should Not Be A Gay Version Of The Show; Latino Bachelor Describes Gays As ‘More Pervert’

As 'The Bachelor' 2014 continues, viewers are wondering whether Juan Pablo Galavis will finally end up with a girl who will not only love him but also his daughter. Many deem 'The Bachelor' Juan Pablo Galavis as caring and compassionate because he makes sure to prioritize his child. However, his recent statement about the homosexuals might anger some fans.

At a party exclusively hosted by ABC for its shows, Juan Pablo Galavis was asked by TV Page's Sean Daly about the possibility of a gay version of 'The Bachelor'.

"I don't think it is a good example for kids to watch that on TV," responded the Latino athlete. He likewise believes that gays are "more pervert in a sense" which would make the show "too strong" and "too hard to watch".

Despite his opinions, Juan Pablo Galavis explains that he respect homosexuals: "Obviously people have their husband and wife and kids and that is how we are brought up. Now there are fathers having kids and all that, and it is hard for me to understand that too in the sense of a household having people.. Two parents sleeping in the same bed and the kid going into bed. It is confusing in a sense. But I respect them because they want to have kids. They want to be parents. So it is a scale. Where do you put it on the scale? Where is the thin line to cross or not? You have to respect everybody's desires and way of living. But it would be too hard for TV."

The interviewer further adds that this year's 'The Bachelor' doesn't seem to have a hateful tone when he expressed his views. Nonetheless, it is yet unknown whether ABC will issue an official statement regarding its actor's remark.
