Android 4.4 KitKat Update Tipped For LG Phones And Tablets, To Skip Android 4.2 and 4.3 Jelly Bean, Which Devices Would Get It?
In a new report from Phone Arena, some of its sources claim that phone-maker LG might skip the previous Android updates for its devices, and instead head straight to the Android 4.4 KitKat update.
In the report, several LG devices should get Android 4.4 KitKat but skip the 4.2 and 4.3 updates for Jelly Bean. Some of these devices include the following:
- LG Optimus F3
- LG Optimus F6
- LG G Pad 8.3
- LG G Pro Lite
- LG Optimus F7
- LG Optimus L9 II
- LG Optimus Vu II
As you may have noticed, most of these devices were released last year, so it's just a matter of time until they get the Android 4.4 KitKat update. The jump from version 4.1 to KitKat may not be that much of a problem as well. Unfortunately, the report says that the Optimus 4X HD will not receive the update, though we may take this detail with a pinch of salt.
