Idol group U-Kiss is to perform at a Latin America pop concert ‘2012 EVENTO 40’ in Colombia as the first Asian singer to have been invited for the concert.

‘EVENTO 40’ is the largest Latin America pop concert gathering nearly 50,000 audiences each concert this is to be the 8th year. U-KISS will be performing alongside worldwide pop star Shakira in Colombia invited as the first Asian singer.

The event is to have 15 other teams that will perform besides U-KISS and Shakria. The performance is to take place from May 11-12 over two days including a press conference and main concert. Colombia’s largest private broadcasting network ‘Caracol TV Principales’ is to oversee the concert and the concert is to be broadcasted all over Colombia and major countries throughout Central and South America.

U-KISS shared, “We are glad to be invited as K-Pop representatives at such a big stage. We have heard that K-Pop has recently become popular in South America. This is our first visit to Colombia, as we are going representing K-Pop we will do our best to spread out the K-Pop craze and also stir a U-KISS boom in Colombia, Central and South America.”

U-KISS is to release the new mini-album ‘DORADORA’ on April 25 and on the same day will attend ‘M! Countdown One Asia Tour: Hello Japan’ concert at Saitama Super Arena.
