The movie may be delayed, but the "Batman Vs Superman" Cast Rumors will keep on coming. The Joaquin Phoenix rumor stands, and Affleck actually wore the Bat-suit.

In the last report about Joaquin Phoenix being projected to play Lex Luthor, (also broken by Variety), they mentioned that they want a more 'layered' Lex Luthor and not just the power hungry evil genius (which Bryan Cranston will probably portray). While it was admitted that Phoenix was a longshot, Variety reports that there really is an offer and they are still awaiting Phoenix's decision.

From Variety: "Warners is still casting the film including the main villain role which sources tell Variety is still in Joaquin Phoenix's court."

There was no given timetable on Phoenix's decision, but he obviously has more time now.

Speaking of time, the delay could take its toll on some of the actors, specifically actor-directors like Ben Affleck. Variety reports of possible conflicts with Affleck's other projects that he scheduled after BvS:

"One continuing moving part is what this means for Affleck and his always busy schedule. Affleck was planning on directing "Live by Night" following production on "Superman-Batman," with Warners already dating "Night" for Dec. 25, 2015."

The delay and the rumored Ben Affleck injury has started rumors of a possible withdrawal by the Award Winning director. However, his wife, actress Jennifer Garner has shared that he is so immersed in the role. She has actually seen the new Bat-suit design, and Affleck has worn it.

In an interview with ET, Garner joked that the challenge was to "get him out of it (the suit)" and it was "Unbelievably cool, a total reinvention."

To affirm the 'reinvention' statement, Kevin Smith mentioned in his podcast:

"You have not seen this costume on film before. For a comic book fan, it was mind-bending... Because every other movie does this Matrix-y black armor thing...There wasn't a single nipple on this suit. I think everyone is just gonna be like 'Holy S**t!' It's its own thing. We haven't been down this path before. Even the hardest core [most skeptical] person will be like 'Alright, I'm ready.'...It seemed like it was very [Redacted] influenced."
