For the past few months, we have been waiting for a confirmation for the announcement of the HTC One 2 M8 release date. And as another report says, it could be several days away. 

According to a report from GSM Arena, a user agent profile of an HTC device surfaced in no less than the Taiwanese manufacturer's website. And because we're not hearing any new device aside from the One 2 (M8), it could very well be the upcoming successor of the HTC One. 

However, according to the UAProfile, rumors of a 2K resolution display may have been falsely hoped by speculators as the one showed in the profile packed only 1920 x 1080 resolution, same as the previous flagship. 

In addition, other rumors also claim that there will be no hardware buttons on the upcoming HTC phone. 

We still don't know which of these rumors are true, but if the handset that leaked is the HTC One 2 M8, then we may see the same resolution.
