iPhone 6 Release Date Could Fall In June, Allegedly Packs 4.7" Display But Retains Resolution Of Current Flagship, Bigger 5.7" Version Also In The Works

As for the past couple of years, there is a lot of clamour for the iPhone 6 release date. However, this year seems to provide more excitement to both Apple fans and industry watchers as the Cupertino company is rumored to release two new handsets later in 2014.

In a news report from GSM Arena, Chinese analyst Sun Chyang Xu claims that Apple is geared to announce a new iPhone in June, which coincides with the company's WWDC event.

iPhone 6, as it would most probably be named, would get a bigger 4.7-inch display. This would not be a surprise as the iPhone 5 was the first Apple handset to get an increase in display size when it was launched two years ago.

Unfortunately, the Xu also points out that in spite the bigger screen, the iPhone 6's display would still have the same 1136 x 640 resolution of the iPhone 5s.

In addition to the report, recent rumors have also reported about a bigger iPhone 6 phablet with a screen measuring up to 5.7 inches. While this is not yet confirmed, we see the reason for such rumors.

Last year marked a momentous year for the Cupertino company as it unveiled two iPhone versions in the same year. This year could even be brighter and 'bigger' for Apple as mentioned by CEO Tim Cook in a letter to his employees.
