Sherlock Season 4 Spoilers: Moffat On Irene Adler, Benedict Cumberbatch On Future Of BBC Series!

"Sherlock" is just starting its season 3 run in North America, and spoilers are already surfacing regarding season 4.

As previously reported, "Sherlock" executive producers Steven Moffat is already in the early planning stages with season 4, and spoilers confirm that Benedict Cumberbatch is all onboard.

"I'm going to keep going with it," said Cumberbatch according to CNN. "I love it. I find it very invigorating."

"I think a lot of (the attention I get) comes with who (Sherlock Holmes) is - he's a very iconic figure," Cumberbatch said according to THR.

"It's kind of extraordinary and a little bit unnerving, and I do feel that has to be acknowledged. The fact that they are so supportive, loyal and by and large intelligent...and committed to something I really love doing and a character I love playing. It means a hell of a lot to me."

But while fans seem to have little to worry about with Benedict Cumberbatch, what about another "Sherlock" favorite—Irene Adler?

“It’s not impossible, because she’s still alive and out there,” answered Steven Moffat according to TVLine.

“But I was really, really pleased with [Season 2's Irene-centric] ‘A Scandal in Belgravia,’ and that sense of longing between those two characters. The question is, can you do it again without making it less good? Are sequels ever as good? Do you really make more money or do you debase the coinage? If we had as good a story as ‘Scandal’ and somewhere else to take them, we’d do it again. But, in the meantime, we’re thrilled with that episode and wary of touching it again. There are many other stories tell.”

Given that "Sherlock" season 4 and 5 are already being planned by Moffat and his team, do you think these quotes hint at spoilers for future episodes?
