Liam Payne's sister took to Twitter to stand up for his girlfriend Sophia Smith, after One Direction fans pined about Liam Payne's past relationship with ex girlfriend Danielle Peazer.

The drama started when Liam Payne's ex girlfriend Danielle Peazer received a message on Twitter from a fan, asking her if she gets to see Loki, Liam Payne's dog, since their break up.

Danielle responded with a simple "no."

Ruth, Liam's sister, chipped in and tweeted: "@DaniellePeazer you can organise to see loki anytime , just let me know"

Little did she know that this would start a wave of Payzer fans tweeting back to Ruth, questioning her on why Danielle doesn't get to see Liam's dog post-break up. They also started dissing Liam's new relationship with girlfriend Sophia Smith.

Ruth fired back on Twitter: "F**ked off once again with twitter, been told i have no heart bc i help look after my brothers dog, noone is banned from seeing anyone," she wrote.

"Liam bought the dog when he was single he then got back with his gf of that time and now there not. makes everything awk" [sic], added the One Direction singer's sister.

One fan then asked Ruth why Liam wasn't dating Danielle anymore, and Ruth defended her brother's relationship with girlfriend Sophia Smith:

"Because he's currently with a girl called Sophia. She's lovely. Maybe people should give her a chance," she tweeted showing that Ruth is a big fan of the gorgeous brunette.

Who knew Loki would start such a fuss?

Liam and Danielle started dating in October 2010, split in September 2012, then reunited a few months later. They broke up for good in May 2013. Liam has been dating his childhood crush Sophia for about six months.
