Bradley Cooper Movie, News: ‘American Hustle’ Actor Going Ugly On Broadway This Fall By Reprising Role In ‘Elephant Man’; Oscar Nominee Plays Lead W/ No Prosthetics

Bradley Cooper movie, news: “American Hustle” actor Bradley Cooper is going back to Broadway this fall, less the dashing looks and hunky appeal he carries in a good number of his films. The Oscar nominee will be reprising his role in the play “Elephant Man,” where he played the character of John Merrick.

According to the Daily Mail, the 39-year-old Hollywood hunk will relive Merick’s tale back to life without the use of make-up or prosthetics. The 1979 Tony-winning best drama of Bernard Pomerance is about the real-life Englishman who went from “sideshow freak to the toast of London high society” during the Victorian era, the British newspaper notes.

The Oscar nominee has not been seen on Broadway since Richard Greenberg’s 2006 drama “Three Days of Rain” with Julia Roberts and Paul Rudd.

Bradley Cooper is one of the latest A-list celebrities to head back to stage. Other major Hollywood celebrities going back to Broadway include Hugh Jackman and Daniel Radcliffe.

The “Hangover” star’s latest role as FBI agent Richie Di Maso has made him a best supporting actor frontrunner at the 2013 awards season. He’ll be going against Jared Leto, Michael Fassbender, Jonah Hill, and Barkhad Abdi at the Academy Awards on March 2.

Bradley recently attended the Screen Actor Guild awards with his model girlfriend Suki Waterhouse, who’s 18 years his junior.

The heartthrob will next be seen in the untitled Cameron Crowe romantic comedy with Bill Murray. He’s also the voice of Rocket Raccoon in Guardians of the Galaxy to be released on August 1.
