Oblivion Star Tom Cruise All Set For ‘Mission Impossible 5’ Movie Production On February With Christopher McQuarrie Directing

Oblivion Star Tom Cruise is all set for the fifth installment of his hit franchise "Mission Impossible."

Mission Impossible 5 release date will be on Christmas 2015, and for the whole team to reach the goal, the entire cast and crew are getting ready to start shooting in February in UK.

Knowing that the fifth installment of the franchise will be up against some major competitors like the highly anticipated return of sci-fi cult Star Wars: Episode 7, the creators together with the actors are pressured to level up their production and performance.

Considering also that the sequel Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol became the highest grossing film from the franchise earning almost £450 million worldwide since it was released on December 2011.

The fans are about to see "Oblivion" star Tom Cruise together with his team members Jeremy Renner and Paula Patton reprising their roles in the film. Simon Pegg has also confirmed his return for the Mission Impossible 5.

This year will make J.J. Abrams really busy as he would be directing Star Wars Episode 7 and producing Mission Impossible 5 working hand in hand with Skydance Productions chief David Ellison and Mark Bakshi, Cruise who will be starring in the film is also part of the production.

Christopher McQuarrie on the other hand will be directing the film, which is written by Drew Pearce who penned the hit movie "Iron Man 3."

Meanwhile, J.J. Abrams is not the only member of the Mission Impossible team who will be having a busy year, it was previously reported that the lead star Tom Cruise will also be reprising his role for a sequel of Jack Reacher, based on the Lee Child's novel "Never Go Back."

He will also be starring in the high-octane film "Go Like Hell."

However, with all the movie projects Tom has to work with, he had to drop out from "The Magnificent Seven" remake, as reported by Screen Rant.

The 51-year old actor, who was recently in the hot seat for his $50 million defamation case against Bauer Publishing, had signed on for "The Magnificent Seven" alongside Matt Damon last 2012, but eventually he had to exit the film without giving any public statement. With how much work he is engaged in right now it's safe to assume that he probably just can't take any more roles this year.
