Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Inductees Kiss, Nirvana And Hall And Oates Gets Ready For Induction; Daryl Hall Says HOF Is ‘All Political’

Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Inductees: Exactly 20 years after the tragic death of Nirvana front man, Kurt Cobain, the band will be included in the 2014 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

In this year's HOF, Nirvana is the frontrunner for the prestigious lifetime award. This will be the first time for the grunge band to be nominated as they passed the requirement of a 25 year period upon releasing their very first album to be eligible for the hall of fame. Nirvana released their first single "Love Buzz," in 1988.

Together with Nirvana, first time nominees are soul group Hall and Oates, singer Linda Ronstadt, the band Yes and British band The Zombies, among others. Past nominees who are nominated for this year are blues group The Paul Butterfield Blues Band, metal group Deep Purple, face-painted rock group KISS, rapper turned actor LL Cool J, rap group N.W.A., folk artist Cat Stevens, The Meters and Chic.

The inductees for 2014 are: Cat Stevens, Daryl Hall and John Oates, Nirvana, Kiss, Linda Ronstadt, Peter Gabriel, Andrew Loog Oldham, Brian Epstein and The E Street Band.

Daryl Hall of Hall And Oates, meanwhile, is not much impressed of their induction in the Hall of Fame as he claimed the governing body to be all political.

"I don't know. It's all political isn't it? It's run by people who have their own agendas. I wasn't part of their agendas and now I'm a part of their agenda," Hall said after being asked why he thought it took so long before they got in the lifetime award.

Hall was also asked by Fox news that even though he thought it was all political that if he was angry or happy that the time they got inducted took this long before getting recognized by the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame.

"I'm not angry because I don't care enough to be angry. It's a nice thing. Late 20th century music was a really important thing. It changed the world and I'm part of that, and now I'm part of the museum that celebrates that."

The induction ceremony will be held in New York, April 2014 and it will be the 29th annual ceremony for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
