The Ladies Of Crayon Pop Dressed Up As Firefighters As They Held A Press Event + Kim Shares A Touching Story

Crayon Pop lovers, your favorite girls as you know has teamed up for a "project" that is named, "Korean Firefighter Project." They are working with Kim Jang Hoon on this so that they can show their love towards the hardworking "firefighters." The guys are brave to tackle huge fires and risking their lives to save people. So, Crayon Pop wants to show their gratitude. The name of their song is "Hero" which is perfect because "firefighters" are truly indeed hero's. When a fire occurs, they will quickly come to the rescue and extinguish the fire. So, apparently, Crayon Pop has noticed that the guys are not getting enough love for the hard work that they do.

Why This Sudden Cause?

Stories from people can really get to you. If the story is touching, sometimes it will motivate you. This is what happened to Kim Jang Hoon. Kim is known in South Korea as the "Donation Angel" because he loves doing charity work in order to spread love across the provinces. Just seeing someone smile and knowing that you are doing a good cause, puts a smile on Kim's face.

So, how did this love of doing charity happened? Well, it was during the year 2002. Kim explained regarding what happened during this year by saying, "Back in 2002 I had hurt my shoulder and while I was at the hospital getting treatment there was a man sitting next to me; the man was a firefighter." Kim mentioned this last Wednesday during a "press conference" that was "held at the Press Center in Seoul." Kim further goes on with the story by saying, "He told me that despite the difficult situations they face, they are all committed to their duty to protect and serve."

With this sad touching story from the "firefighter," Kim "made a promise" that he will do something so that people in South Korea will know that "firefighters" are brave and that they should get recognized for the dangerous work that they do. This is why Kim collaborated with female group Crayon Pop on this project; which is a tribute to the everyday "firefighters" who puts their lives at risk.

Press Event in Seoul

We have seen numerous costumes or wardrobes that Crayon Pop wears. So, it is no surprise that they will choose another stand-out one. The wardrobe are "loose red jackets and alarm sirens." They have replaced the helmets and the Christmas star for "alarm sirens."

The ladies last Wednesday held a "press event in Seoul" for fans. Reason for the event was because they wanted to announce their brand new single. So, with their cute wardrobes and all, the people that showed up to watch them were entertained.

Great Cause

Crayon Pop and with this project, are doing something by truly helping the "firefighters." They want to let them know that the work they do is definitely not getting "unnoticed." All "proceeds" will go to the people; firefighters who risks their lives. The proceeds that they give will definitely improve "working conditions;" which is why Crayon Pop initiated this project.

Along with the "working conditions," funding of "scholarships" as well "donations" will go to the kids as well "families" who has lost their father while doing this dangerous job.

Another thing that Kim said at the "press conference" was, "Our local firefighters really are unsung heroes...you know the country has specialized hospitals for the police and soldiers, but we still don't have a facility dedicated to our firefighters. This has been the most worthwhile, most tear jerking and most rewarding project that I have ever been involved with."

The members of Crayon Pop also explained how they feel to be part of this great project by working with Kim. They said, "We are very honored to be a part of this project along with Kim Jang-hoon. For us to be able to show our support for these heroic firefighters through music, it's such a wonderful feeling for us."

Firefighters and Families are Invited to a Free Concert + Charity Concert Next Sunday

Last Sunday, at the Ajou University in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province, Crayon Pop gave a "free concert" to "firefighters" as well "their families." Including them, there were also various "rescue service workers" that came out since they were "invited." Then on February 16, 2014 (Sunday), the girls along with Kim, are thinking about having a special "charity concert" which will be at the same location; only difference is that it will be at the Gymnastics Stadium.

Crayon Pop is helping out their community by doing this project as well giving proceeds that are earned. Such loving hearts from all of the members. This project is definitely getting noticed in South Korea and the "firefighters" are surely grateful on what Kim as well Crayon Pop are doing.
