Wheesung made an all kill on music charts after the "Hidden Singer 2" broadcast aired. Even now his song "Heartsore Story" is receiving much love. After his return from military service, Wheesung proved his impressionable presence through his appearance on "Hidden Singer 2."

The December 7th broadcast of JTBC "Hidden Singer 2" last year showed an exciting showdown between Wheesung and 5 talented singers. Wheesung was the ultimate winner, but his opponent Kim Jin Ho's great voice and excellent skill became a hot topic. What's more, he knew all the songs from Wheesung's CD.

Even up until the beginning of filming, Wheesung's face didn't look so bright. He expressed his nervousnesness and pressure to win and overcome preconceived notions. However as time passed Wheesung's face grew a smile and brightened up significantly. He couldn't conceal his joy at winning.

In a recent interview with TV Report, Jun Hyun Moo chose Wheesung as the most memorable singer. He said, "As the program goes on, I feel the most proud when something is derived from the program. Wheesung's singing style has become a sort of trend. To be honest when I met Wheesung before filming, he looked very anxious."

Jun Hyun Moo continued, "I said one thing to him then. I told him a singer's popularity or presence is not the most important on the show, but the sync rate. That's why he was such a hit. After the broadcast Wheesung was able to gain confidence, and his concert was a huge hit. The dark Wheesung we saw before filming was nowhere to be found. He's much more excited, cracks jokes, and laughs a lot more. He is season 2's hero."

PD Jo Seung Wook, who's been the producer for both season 1 and season 2, was also impressed with Wheesung. It's usually difficult for a celebrity and fan to meet outside of work and cultivate a friendship, but they're maintaining a strong relationship. Not only is Wheesung keeping in contact with Kim Jin Ho, but he's also building friendships with the other contestants that appeared on the show.

"Hidden Singer 2" is a new concept show that features Korea's best singers and participants who mimic everything from those singer's voice to their singing styles. The singers and participants then have a singing battle. They're currently preparing for season 3 of the show.
