Leno's guests tonight will include Billy Crystal, who was his first "Tonight" visitor in 1992, NBC Bay Area reports.

After 22 years, the 63-year-old host is leaving NBC's legendary late-night talk show and handing over the reins to Jimmy Fallon, The Los Angeles Times reports. Jimmy Fallon said his predecessor is always welcome to take the stage on his new, New York-based "Tonight Show," according to The Hollywood Reporter.

"I told Jay, I gave him a round-trip ticket to New York ... the stage is his, so whenever he wants, he's got a stage," Fallon said in an interview that aired on Wednesday's Today.

The last thank-you note delivered by Jimmy Fallon was touching: "Thank you, Jay Leno," Fallon said, "for carrying on the proud tradition of 'The Tonight Show' host with such humor and class and for being nothing but gracious and generous to me over the past years. I will do my best to make you proud every single night. Thank you."

Garth Brooks will perform as musical guest on the "Tonight Show."
