On February 12, 2014, numerous idols showed up for the "3rd Annual Gaon Chart Awards" which was held at the Olympics Gymnastics Arena in Seoul, South Korea's Olympic Park.

The Gaon Awards

This night is special because it is when all your favorite K-Pop idols wins awards based on their album sales, chart toppers, and fan favorites in-terms of votes. "Gaon Chart K-Pop Awards" is an event that is "held by South Korea's national music record chart, Gaon Chart." The way nominations as well winners are decided is by recognition in-terms of their music, "albums", their "producers, stylists, choreographers, composers" as well "other professionals in the music industry." Winner is then decided based off of the "previous year's Gaon year-end chart of sales."

This award goes to the best idol that is known internationally for the year.

"World Hallyu Star Special Award" goes to the idol that is known globally and not just in South Korea.

This award goes to the number of votes in-which fans voted through a mobile device. They are also popular amongst fans.
