K-Pop Destinations: Day Trips And Medical Emergencies

It's still early in the year but one of k-drama's most memorable kiss scenes has already taken place between Kim Soo Hyun and Jun Ji Hyun in "You Who Came From The Stars." In that scene Kim Soo Hyun's alien character floats the love of his life back to him for a kiss. The setting is snow covered, romantic, and seems almost European. That's because it was filmed at The Petit France Village, which was inspired by the novel "Le Petit Prince." You can even see a statue of the little prince in the background during the kiss scene. The Petit France Village is a favorite tourist destination.

The village is located at 1063, Hoban-ro, Cheongpyeong-myeon, Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do. For more information, call 82 31-1330 or visit www.pfcamp.com (Korean only).

To get there, you can go to Dong Seoul Bus Terminal or Sangbong Bus Terminal and take an intercity bus to Cheongpyeong. From the Cheongpyeong Terminal, take a local bus heading to Goseong-ri. Or you could take a Gapyeong Tour Bus at Cheongpyeong Terminal to Petite France. Kim Soo Hyun's character became sick because of that kiss but Jun Ji Hyun's character could not take him to a hospital because they might discover he was an alien.

When you visit Korea, hopefully you won't have to visit a hospital, but if you need quick medical care, you might want to visit the emergency room where "Emergency Couple" is filmed in. The drama's WASU Hospital, with its cute wall art and musical stairs, is really Seoul National University Hospital. The headquarters are in 101 Daehak-Ro, Jongno-Gu in Seoul. For more information, visit www.snuh.org/english/01 or call 82-2-2072-0505. Let us know if the real doctors are as attractive as Choi Jin Hyuk and Lee Pil Mo.
