"K-Pop Star 3" is made special by Yang Hyun Suk, Park Ji Young, and Yoo Hee Yeol's unique judging style. The three sometimes offer enthusiastic praise, while other times they look more heartbroken than even the contestants themselves. Their demonstrated adherence to their roles is noteworthy.

"I'll say what Yang Hyun Suk wants to say. You sang much better than me. It was the best of all the versions I've heard so far. The judges have the heart of parents that just want their children to grow.

"You definitely have great potential, but the viewers won't let you slide because of your young age. Your singing lacks skill. I think it's time that you put dance aside for a while and focus on practicing your singing." (Yang Hyun's advice to Lee Chae Yeon and Lee Chae Ryung in the team mission final match in episode 8)
