Katherine Heigl Movie ‘Jenny’s Wedding’ Having Difficulty In Raising Cash For Its Post-Production Needs; ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Star’s Diva-Like Attitude Hurting Her Career?

Katherine Heigl's movie 'Jenny's Wedding' appears to be encountering a challenge when it comes to sourcing funds for its post-production needs. The indie film revolves around a lesbian who decides to prove her freedom by marrying her girlfriend. Her traditional family is confused since they thought that the two were nothing but roommates.

In Katherine Heigl's movie, Alexis Bledel plays the 'Grey's Anatomy' star's fiancée. Oscar nominee Tom Wilkinson and Meryl Streep's daughter Grace Gummer are also included in the cast. While filming for 'Jenny's Wedding' has been finished in November 2013, it couldn't be released yet for it still needed cash for the final editing.

Heigl's team needs $150,000 but as of now, only $18,000 has been amassed by the team. They are currently conducting a fundraiser campaign. Donors will get an autographed post from Heigl, the wedding dress featured in the film as well as a private screening and reception with the cast. Despite these perks, fans and sponsors appear not to show much fascination with the offer. The campaign officially ends on March 28.

Are fans merely tired of donating to Hollywood indie films or is Heigl's alleged diva-like attitude hurting her career?
