The demand for a solo film featuring a female super hero is intensifying. While Warner/DC already has a default superheroine in Wonder Woman, Marvel Studios is at a loss, and the only one they have in waiting is the Black Widow.

Black Widow is Marvel's version of Catwoman: seductive, deadly and mysterious, with blurred lines between her and the hero/heroes. Is she friend or foe or love interest? For Captain America, Hawkeye and even Iron Man at some point, there were some hints of romantic overtures in the comics and even in the movies.

Scarlett Johansson is the perfect actress to convey this glaring yet subtle sensuality. She has already been named Sexiest Woman Alive (twice by Esquire). Kevin Feige, Marvel's big boss himself, has mentioned bigger plans for the character. Even her own solo movie! Is that going to change because of a real-life development?

E News has confirmed Scarlett Johansson's pregnancy: "E! News exclusively revealed that Scarlett Johansson is expecting her first child with fiancé Romain Dauriac, and while we're ecstatic for the actress and her soon-to-be hubby, we couldn't help but wonder what this means for her future projects.

The pregnant star, who E! News has learned is due in August, is currently gearing up for her promotional tour for Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and once that's done, Scarlett is scheduled to begin shooting Avengers 2."

"Avengers: Age of Ultron" (full title of Avengers 2) is already filming scenes in different locations. The baby bump is inevitable in the next few months and the movie is due in May 2015. How does Marvel negotiate through all this?

"They're going to fast-track her scenes."According to E! News insider source. Sounds like a plan.

Screenrant discusses the further plans for a Black Widow movie: "While still a long way out - and not even a sure thing at that - it's possible the film's future could now be in question. If Johansson puts her career on hold to raise a family, the proposed film might very well get stuck in limbo.

Then again, we may be all worrying for nothing. Plenty of actresses have families and go on to have incredibly successful careers, even in the action movie genre. The good news is, she's definitely still in The Avengers 2 and, as far as we know, her role won't be truncated."

Marvel definitely has no answers for that yet, as they have their hands full with promoting the two movies this year and filming the two movies next year. The 'baby bump' might be on its feet before the possible solo pic is brought up again.

"Avengers: Age Of Ultron" releases in May 1, 2015. ScarJo could bring her nine-month old baby to the premiere.
