Install Android 4.4.2 KitKat Update On Samsung Galaxy S2; GT-I9100G Receives Custom Firmware PAC-Man ROM

Owners of Samsung Galaxy S2 can now install Android 4.4.2 KitKat update using custom firmware.

As posted on Droid Report, a custom ROM based on Android 4.4.2 KitKat update is now available for Samsung Galaxy S2. The firmware known as PAC-Man ROM, released by XDA contributor iXanza, can now be installed on Samsung Galaxy S2, particularly those units which bear the model number GT-I9100G. Accordingly, PAC-Man ROM combines the features from ParanoidAndroid, AOKP and CyanogenMod.

Samsung Galaxy S2 was first announced on February 2011 and released in April of the same year, according to GSM Arena. Officially, Samsung Galaxy S2 can only be upgraded to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. But with the custom firmware available now, Samsung Galaxy S2 owners can easily experience the latest mobile operating system from Google by installing the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update using the PAC-Man ROM.
