'YG Entertainment' Is Going To Set Up A Base On U.S. In 2015

K-Pop fans in the United States, YG Entertainment, known for hit stars like 2NE1, Psy, as well as Big Bang, are looking at North America to establish a base in the year 2015. With the popularity of Korean music in the United States, it only makes sense to establish something in U.S. where fans can get access to see some of their favorite K-Pop idols from the "largest music company" in South Korea.

What is Being Planned on 2015?

Last Friday, YG Entertainment announced that "construction is underway" in the United States regarding the building of "YG Land" which is going to be "an independent space." The vacant spot is going to be a "recording infrastructure" for the idols so that they "support" as well "promote its artists."

This idea from YG Entertainment is being made possible by the partnership with MD Properties, which is an American based agency here in the United States. "YG Land" is going to be "built inside The Source," which is a "shopping center" located at Orange County, California. That is right Cali K-Pop fans, YG Entertainment is going to build "YG Land" in Orange County, California on the year 2015.

Why California and What Does it Mean in the Future?

The reason why California is the chosen state in U.S. is because numerous K-Pop idols do their concerts there yearly. With upcoming and past concerts that occurred in California, YG Entertainment decided to set "YG Land" in California. So with this new base that YG Entertainment is planning; what does it mean for the state of California? You can probably guess that more K-Pop idols will definitely hold concerts. California will be a hit state for K-Pop idols to perform and travel in when they do world tours.

On the past, California has been the hub of K-Pop. Numerous concerts has occurred from some of your favorite idols. Included with "KCON 2013" and all; other events has happened in L.A. The events were "Infinite One Great Step Concert in LA" which happened on November 8, 2013 as Infinite came and many saw this popular group perform. VIXX also traveled to Los Angeles as they had a concert on November 10, 2013. U-KISS was there on January 14, 2014, to which numerous people showed up. TVXQ was on July 5, 2013 for their concert titled, "TVXQ Catch Me in Los Angeles 2013".

Now, there is going to be another event which is named "L.A. Korean Pop Festival".  The scheduled date is April 12, 2014 and KBS is the one holding the event. The venue in California will be at the "Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum" which is just 5 miles from Koreatown. Reason for this event is to celebrate Korean immigration to the United States. The event will be 3 hours long and initiate at 5:30 PM; California will be seen globally as it is going to be "broadcasted in 88 countries."

The guests are SHINee, 2PM, SISTAR, CNBLUE, Kim Tae Woo, Girl's Day, Dynamic Duo, Sul Woondo, and Song Sohee. There might be more that may be added to the list.

What "YG Land" will Have

When "YG Land" is all complete, there are going to be numerous music appliances. "YG Land" is going to be an "all-in-one" building that is going to have "basic facilities" for "independent music business operations." Some examples are "recording studios, practice rooms, and production studios." These are not the only things that are going to be in this building, the space will also "locally advertise and promote" the idols that are working with YG Entertainment. Now fans will be able to see their stars such as Psy, 2NE1, and Big Bang on "LED screens, electronic display boards, and print billboards."

Fans in California are excited about this opening. YG Entertainment are as well. The manager YG stated what he hopes to accomplish through the partnership with MD Properties. He stated, "We recently held a ceremony to celebrate the new partnership with MD Properties. We plan to cooperate in developing new businesses in such areas as hotels, shopping centers, concerts, and package tours, and food and beverage franchises in the future."
