Manager Do's Serenade to be Released: Kim Soo Hyun's “Promise”

"Manager Do" Kim Soo Hyun's "Promise" can now be downloaded online. Sources stated that Kim Soo Hyun's version of "Promise", which was aired during SBS drama "My Love from the Star", will be released on the 13th through online music stores.
"Promise", Do Min Joon's heartbreaking serenade for Chun Song Yi, is a song originally sung by Lim Byung Soo in 1984.
In this episode of the drama, Do Min Joon and Chun Song Yi leaves to a vacant island to spend time together. On a starry night at the beachside, Chun Song Yi askes Do Min Joon for a "song to remember for a lifetime"; Do Min Joon responded by singing "Promise" in a still, quiet voice. The drama staff revealed that the song was carefully selected to fit the context by Park Ji Eun, the screenwriter of the drama.
The heartbreaking lyrics of the song portray the situation of the two lovers; Kim Soo Hyun's sorrowful voice heightened the ardent love of the couple.
Staff stated that the producers, as a way of expressing their gratitude for fans' love, have agreed to release the track in response to the persistent and enthusiastic request of drama fans.
Meanwhile, SBS drama "My Love from the Star" recorded a viewer rating of 28.1% on its last episode aired on February 27th. Despite the end of the drama, popularity and media attention has not ceased, especially in China. Actors Kim Soo Hyun, Jun Ji Hyun, and Park Hae Jin have remained active in promotion of the drama through TV advertisements and international activities.
